Coach
Vusimuzi is an accomplished chess player and coach with a FIDE rating of 2072 and a Chess SA rating of 2097. Introduced to chess in primary school, he progressed from a curious beginner to representing South Africa at multiple international tournaments and earning an International Master norm.
His achievements include competing at the 2014 World Youth Championships, finishing as the highest-scoring African at the 2017 U16 Olympiad, and becoming runner-up at the 2018 African Junior Championships, where he earned his IM norm and conditional FM title. As a coach, Vusimuzi is passionate about helping players develop a deep understanding of the game, enabling them to think confidently and make strong decisions at the board.
